Many wonder whether or not summer will come to Eagle River Alaska.  My wife asks this question every time we watch the evening news together.  I think I saw a glimpse of sunshine over the weekend. Eagle River's big event is the annual Bear Paw Festival.  This is a wonderful opportunity to see friends and enjoy the wonderful summer in Alaska.  The downtown area is closed on Business Blvd for different events the Grand Parade (our favorite), Slippery Salmon Race, and the final event the I-did-a-duck race.  There will be vendor on-site and carnival rides, a mini Renascence..(read more)
